Book a fishing charter and fish for walleye, bass and perch in the waters surrounding Fish Creek, or cruise Lake Michigan for steelhead, brown trout and “King” salmon. A breezy day is perfect for taking the kids out to fly kites, and if you want to fly a bit higher, head out to Gibraltar Airport and get a bird's eye view in a scenic airplane tour.

Take in the current exhibit at the Guenzel Gallery at the Peninsula School of Art and sign up for one of over 200 interactive five day workshops or drop in on a free Family Art Day! With dozens of galleries in Fish Creek, glimpse everything from traditional Door County artwork to fine home furnishings. Puruse custom-designed jewelry, contemporary fiber arts, functional and fabulous pottery, unique sculpture, quality leather moccasins and handmade clothing, and meet artists from Door County and beyond who have been inspired to create here.
Get inspired to create in Door County too! Stop in the Hands On Art Studio on Peninsula Players Road, to glaze your own ceramic pieces, paint wood, metal, and glass pieces, design a t-shirt, or create a mosaic. Let the knowledgeable staf help you design and arc-weld metals, show you how to cut, grind, and layer glass to melt into a solid piece of art, or give you instruction in wheel-throwing and hand-building pottery. Kids' art camp programs and Adult Nights on Friday evenings offer unique social events to keep you creating.
One of Fish Creek's best known historical sites is the Noble House Museum. Built by one of Fish Creek's founding fathers, the Noble House stands on the prominent corner of the main street. Renovated and restored to its original glory, docent led tours of the Noble House are like stepping back in time. Exhibits change to showcase collections. Previous exhibits have included Victorian Wedding, Christmas at Noble Square, and most recently The Country Doctor. Learn more about Fish Creek history by participating in guided walking tours starting at the Old Town Hall and ending at the Historic Center behind the Noble House Museum. Relax in the shady Noble House Square on Tuesdays in summer at 2:30pm for free Concerts in the Park.
Fish Creek offers some of the county's best-loved entertainment. Bring the whole family to enjoy original, heartwarming musical comedies under the stars from American Folklore Theatre at their Peninsula State Park Amphitheatre. The 2013 summer line up includes the world premier of Windjammers, inspired by tales and tunes of 19th century Great Lakes sailors. Fish Creek is also home to America's oldest professional resident theatre, Peninsula Players. Audiences are invited to relax in the beer garden and watch the sunset prior to performances. August 6-24, 2013 marks the 61st season of the Peninsula Music Festival, held at the Door Community Auditorium (DCA). Open year-round and offering a variety of music and theatre productions, and educational lectures and events, the DCA is a 750-seat performing arts center that brings big name entertainment as well as local and regional talent to the stage. For another blast from the past, take in a summer blockbuster at the one of Wisconsin's oldest continuously operated drive in theatres.
