Welcome back to a simpler time, where everything from breakfast to dinner, from candles to dog treats, from coffee to vodka, is made right here – from scratch. Welcome to Carlsville. Discover sunsets over rolling fields, evenings over home-cooked meals, leisurely mornings over hot coffee and fun-filled afternoons in the sun. Whether you're here for the day, or plan to stay, enjoy "Everything From Scratch" in Carlsville.

Mornings in Carlsville are rich with the aroma of roasting coffee, fresh bakery, and tasty breakfast. That’s Door County Coffee & Tea Co, fulfilling its mission “to roast the best-tasting quality coffee and deliver it to their customers with an unsurpassed level of customer service.” This small, family-owned business has been roasting the world’s finest coffees for the past 20 years. Enjoy an espresso drink while you watch the roasting process right through café's viewing window! Three homemade soups are served daily as well as a variety of salads and signature sandwiches, and browse through the gift shop featuring over 100 coffees, teas, gourmet foods and beautiful home décor, and take a bag of your favorite beans with you!

Visit the Door County General Store to find unique Door County items. A great selection of Door County clothing and jewelry, lighthouses, cherry gifts, candy and toys. Bring the family dog to experience Door County’s “Original Pet Boutique.” Pet Expressions offers a wide variety of breed-specific items of 100 dog breeds for the pet lover. For the pampered pal – lots of chew toys and all-natural dog treats. Pets are always welcome to shop with their owners to choose their own toys and treats. “Doggie Delights” are made from scratch using all natural ingredients including real fruit – perfect for the most finicky pups. Choose from the area's largest selection of high quality scented candles at Door County Candle Company, where you'll find the only candles made in Door County. Watch and smell handcrafted candles being made, get creative and dip your own candle creation and bring home a truly unique souvenir of your visit.

A complete dining experience awaits you inside Door Peninsula Winery. Classy yet comfortably casual, Bistro 42 cooks up inspired flavor combinations in soups and salads, panini sandwiches, brick-fired pizzas and calzones, and unique entrees using exceptionally fresh and local ingredients and Fat Louie's oils and vinegars. Enjoy a drink paired perfectly with your meal, from a glass of award-winning wine to a cocktail made with Door County Distillery's spirits, or a pint of a hand-crafted beer.

Cool off the afternoon with homemade ice cream – you guessed it – made-from-scratch. Schopf's Dairy View Country Store uses the highest quality ingredients to create delicious ice cream in seasonal flavors using local fruits. Watch ice cream being made daily, sample and select your favorite flavor, and enjoy a cone or sunday in the Ice Cream Parlor. Take a working dairy tour, watch milking operations, milk "Cookie" the cow, and take the family through the annual Corn Maze. Still hungry? Enjoy grilled sandwiches, subs and wraps, or take home a frozen or fresh-baked homemade pizza.

Make a splash with the family! Harbour Village Campground is home to Door County’s largest Water Park, with a 6,000 square foot pool, two 350 ft. water-slides, a children's wading pool, a large Jacuzzi, and an adults-only pool. Day passes are available to the public so you can beat the heat. Keep the kids playing in the Fun Zone with Jumping Pillow, Bikes & Trykes, mini golf, a swimming pond, and a mini skate park. Stick around for a variety of great family activities on the weekends, including water wars, glow rides, crafts, nature hikes, and live music!

Lunch or dinner, treat your family to a home-style meal at the Roadhouse Neighborhood Tavern. Like a phoenix from the ashes, the Roadhouse rose up after a devastating fire in 2011 burned the 106 year-old building to the ground. In their new building, this traditionally no-frills pub serves up charbroiled burgers, broasted chicken, baby back pork ribs made with homemade tangy, sweet and smoky BBQ sauce, and a Friday Night Fish Fry. For a unique flavor adventure, take a guided tour of the largest producer of wine in Wisconsin, Door Peninsula Winery. Watch all the stages of wine production from crush, to fermentation, to bottling. Stop at the complimentary tasting bar to sample over 45 fruit, varietal-fruit blend, and premium grape wines, as well as homemade fudge, cheeses and preserves. The adjacent Door County Distillery is the county's newest tasting venue. The Distillery uses purified, single source Door County ground water with natural limestone and mineral notes, and an artisanal copper still. View the production area while you taste a variety of spirits including vodka, gin, brandy and more. Enjoyr a truly Door County-made cocktail, and stay for dinner.

For two weekends each summer the Door County Renaissance Fantasy Faire transports visitors back to the festive atmosphere of an Olde World country market day in Europe. Enjoy arts and crafts including weaving, coin minting, spinning, blacksmithing, glass blowing, and live music; and watch archery and jousting events. Eat, drink, and be merry with a cast of intriguing characters in period costumes, as well as a few whimsical characters! This year the faire will be held on June 29-30 and July 6-7, rain or shine. For more information visit www.doorcowirenaissance.com.
