Ridges Doesn't Waffle When it Comes to Breakfast

BAILEYS HARBOR, WI (January 29, 2016) – What better way to start a busy weekend than with a hearty homemade breakfast? If you’re tired of grabbing a bagel, donut or a muffin or racing through a fast food restaurant, join the staff and volunteers of The Ridges Sanctuary for the Great Waffle Breakfast at the Baileys Harbor Town Hall on Saturday, February 6, 9:00 to 11:00am. Enjoy all-you-can-eat waffles of all shapes and sizes, topped with Door County maple syrup, cherry and blueberry toppings and whipped cream.

This year the Cordon Family Foundation, in honor of Ray Cordon, has generously agreed to match, dollar for dollar, all donations received at the door on the day of the Breakfast. Donations of $6 for adults and $3 for children under 12 are welcome.

Afterwards, burn off a few of those breakfast calories by joining a Ridges naturalist for a guided snowshoe hike on the Sanctuary trails. Interested hikers should meet at The Ridges Nature Center, 8166 Hwy 57. Hikes are offered at 10am and 2pm. Adult fees are $5 for Ridges members and $8 for the general public. Children under 18 hike free. Snowshoes are available for a $5 rental fee. Please call ahead to reserve.

For more information about these and other programs at The Ridges, visit RidgesSanctuary.org or call 920.839.2802.
