EPHRAIM, WI (March 8, 2016) – The Hardy Gallery invites artists and craftspeople of Door County and throughout the state of Wisconsin, to submit images of their work for the Hardy Gallery’s final exhibit of the 2016 season,
The exhibit will focus on the principles associated with the Bauhaus School movement, which promoted simplicity of form based on functionality. The Hardy is looking for art that challenges the traditional distinction between fine art and craft; work created in media traditionally associated as “crafts”, including: woodworking, textiles, ceramics, art metal/jewelry, papermaking/topography/bookmaking and other media that reflect this philosophy.Artists and craftsperson’s living and working in Door County and throughout the state of Wisconsin are encouraged to enter. Work entered must be original and completed within the last 5 years. There are no size restrictions. The submission and selection processes will be done online; all online submissions can be made between now and May 1st.
