Sister Bay Concerts & Movies Move to Prime Time

Sister Bay has offered free afternoon music to summertime visitors and locals for more than 25 years. The tradition begins again Wednesday, June 22nd at the Sister Bay Stage in Waterfront Park with one small change; concerts will begin at 6pm.

Support from the local business community has been strong. Tapuat Brewing Company and Al Johnson’s Swedish Restaurant & Butik are principal series sponsors this year with an additional two dozen individual concert and movie sponsorships from Sister Bay businesses.

The concert series opens with David & Lynn Music. New acts such as Trout Steak Revival, Zimmer Effect, Tony Brown, and Hillbilly Casino round out crowd favorites Copper Box, Bockenplautz, Unity the Band, and Birch Creek to name a few.  There are even a couple of double-headers with concerts in the afternoon followed by another concert in the evening

In addition to the free concert series, movies under the stars are also included in the summer entertainment line-up. Saturday night movies include Frozen, Jurassic World, Star Wars – The Force Awakens, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off and Bridges of Madison County.

Bring your own chair, blanket or beach towel and snag a spot. Mark your calendars for Wednesday and Saturday evenings at the Sister Bay Stage, the only waterfront venue in Door County.  And the best part – they’re free!
