Peninsula Pet of the Week – Poppy
Poppy 1 (1280x853)

Poppy is an adorable little girl that weighs only 15 pounds and has a stunning coat of brown and black. Her soft long ears and dark brown eyes melt your heart when you glance her way. She is three years old, a mix of Beagle and Rat Terrier, and is very playful and friendly. When she first meets someone new she is a bit on the shy side but will quickly warm up to you. One of her favorite past times is playing hide and seek.

Poppy came to DCHS as a surrender because her family could no longer care for her. After staying at the shelter for several weeks she was adopted. Sadly, however, she recently returned to DCHS because it was not a perfect fit. Now we know that Poppy should go to a home with no young children. So if you are looking for a great girl to add to your family come and check out Poppy today!

Door County Humane Society is open for adoptions Monday, Wednesday, and Friday from 12-6pm and Saturday from 12-4pm.
