STURGEON BAY, WI (August 30, 2016) – The Animal Clinic of Sturgeon Bay is excited to announce their Go Dogs for Go Bo Foundation fundraiser. The event will be at Sawyer Park in Sturgeon Bay on Saturday, September 17, 2016, from 9am–1pm. All event proceeds will go to the Go Bo Foundation, a local organization which generously helps families of Door County children affected by cancer and other serious illnesses.
Planned activities include a one mile walk, cook out, bake sale, silent auction and Chinese raffle. There will also be activities for children, including bounce houses and face painting. Local artist Mike McCartney will be doing pet portraits, but pre-registration is required. The doctors of the Animal Clinic will be competing in a lip sync battle.
We invite children and families affected by cancer or childhood illness to lead the walk white will begin at 10am. Pets are welcome, but not required to participate. Please sign up before September 3 at the Animal Clinic of Sturgeon Bay to guarantee a t-shirt and goodie bag. Registration is $20 per family, and will also be available the day of the event starting at 9am. Donations for the silent auction are still being accepted.
This event will take place rain or shine and is also the same day as Sturgeon Bay’s Harvest Fest, providing the opportunity for a full day of fun. If you or someone you know has been affected by a serious childhood illness, please come join our efforts to pay it forward and support the Go Bo Foundation in their efforts to make a difference.
