FISH CREEK, WI (October 6, 2016) — Both visitors and locals look forward to Fish Creek's annual Jack O'Lantern Days every year. Hosted by the Fish Creek Civic Association (FCCA), Jack O'Lantern Days is a true, hometown Halloween celebration.

Start the day at the Peninsula School of Art for their family mask-making workshop. The workshop is from 9am–noon and is FREE for families with kids ages 3 to 17.

After you've made your perfect mask, head down to Founder's Square to interact with live owls from the Open Door Bird Sanctuary. Expert owl care takers will entertain and educate; giving you a close-up look into wild life in the Door County area.

Once you've had your daily dose of cuteness, dress your best for the spooktacular costume contest in Clark Park. The first, second and third place winners will be given prizes from local businesses.

Then, head up to the Founder's Square parking lot (behind Pelletier's) to parade your halloween spirit throughout town. The costume parade ends at the Old Town Hall, where there will be FREE kids' games, as well as "Silly Psychic Readings" conducted by Kathleen Harris AKA: Madam Bumba." In-town trick-or-treating is also from 2–4pm.

As the FCCA Board President, Bob Spielman says, "Jack O'Lantern Days is one of our most special events. Not only do visitors love it, but locals look forward to it every year. It is largely geared toward kids (though parents are half the fun) and is completely free. It's really our way of 'giving back' to such a great community."

Another way the FCCA is giving back to their community through this event is by making a contribution to the Gibraltar 7th and 8th graders' trip to Washington D.C. in exchange for hosting the games at the Town Hall. This trip is a truly unforgettable educational experience and the FCCA is proud to help local kids attain their fundraising goals.
