New opportunities for boosting your health and wellness are now featured throughout the fall and winter months at Nelson Healing Center in Sturgeon Bay. Each week, you are invited to attend a variety of freewill, donation-based classes including meditation, yoga, gong and Tibetan singing bowl sessions.

More than 3,000 scientific studies have shown the benefits of meditation. On Wednesdays, Dr. Nelson welcomes beginners and advanced practitioners to join her in learning about breath and meditation through practice from Noon to 1 pm.

The Gong is a sacred and ancient instrument of healing, rejuvenation, and transformation. It is a vehicle that allows you an easy transit into meditation. Christine Zimonick is a sound therapist and a certified Yin Yoga instructor.

On Mondays Christine provides two opportunities to experience a blend of yoga, meditation and the sounds of the gong. At Noon, she provides meditation sessions enhanced by the sounds of gong and Tibetan singing bowls. Monday evenings, from 6 - 7:30 pm she invites anyone to attend sessions of Yin Yoga with Gong Meditation. She encourages participants to bring a blanket, pillow, eye pillow and a yoga mat if you have one.

If you have questions, please call Julia at the front desk 920.818.0045. Nelson Healing Center is located at 44 S. 2nd Avenue in Sturgeon Bay. Find out about additional ongoing yoga classes and more at their website, NelsonHealingCenter.com.
