In a countywide celebration of the holidays, the Door County Maritime Museum’s Merry-Time Festival of Trees culminates on Tuesday, Dec. 13 with the always-popular Jingle, Jingle, Mix & Mingle gala event. Join the festivities which include a heavy hors d’oeuvres buffet, energetic live auction, silent auction and the long-anticipated Merry-Time Festival of Trees raffle drawing.
Attendees will enjoy holiday beverages and food prepared by local restaurants such as Econo Foods, Trattoria Dal Santo, Bear Cat’s Fish House, Scaturo’s Baking Company & Café, Brick Lot Pub, Kitty O’Reilly’s Irish Pub among others.
As guests nibble, they can peruse the silent auction with more than 75 opportunities to bid on a wide selection of items ranging from a dozen Harbour Lights collectible lighthouses, tables full of items donated by area businesses, three walls of artwork and a pair of spectacular wreathes.
In addition to a silent auction, guests will enjoy a live auction hosted by local musician Hearvy Hodges. Attendees will have the chance to bid on unique items to include a golf package for four at Horseshoe Bay Golf Club, a two-night getaway through Door County Getaway Cottages, a two-night stay in studio lodging at Bjorklunden and a three-night stay at The Little Cottage during the Door County Lighthouse Festival weekend. Another overnight stay up for bidding will be in the Presidential Suite at the Sturgeon Bay Best Western. How about a loaf of freshly baked bread from Sunflour Bakery for a year, a large hand-crafted schooner or large nautical quilt, handcrafted copper necklace or sunset cruise? All will be open for bidding on the night of the 13th.
The evening also marks the last chance guests will be able to purchase raffle tickets for a chance to win one of 27 trees and wreaths, many worth over $400 and adjourned with gift certificates, clothing and other goodies.
Tickets for the evening are $20 for members and $25 for non-members. Space is limited and advanced reservations are required. Please call the museum at 920.743.5958 or purchase tickets online at www.dcmm.org.
