It has been a little over one year since the fundraising for Eagle Tower began. Since last September, over $600,000 has been raised towards the $750,000 goal.
On Thursday, September 28 the DNR will host a public meeting at 5:00pm at the Sturgeon Bay Library to present the Tower design concepts and gather feedback as well as present next steps for planning and construction.
On Saturday, September 30 will be the first annual Southwest Florida Fest to benefit Friends of Peninsula State Park. The event will take place next to White Cottage Red Door in Fish Creek from 1-4pm and is open to the public. Tickets will be sold at the door or you can pre-order online at www.eagletowerfund.com
At the event, guests will be offered the FIRST sales of Eagle Tower wood and metal. The Friends of Peninsula have partnered with over 15 artists and carpenters to repurpose the Tower materials into pieces you can keep forever. In addition, “as is” pieces of the Tower will be available in various sizes. This will be a great event to cap off a great year of supporting our beloved State Park.
