SUMMARY:OutWiGo! The Trails of Newport Challenge Hikes
DESCRIPTION:Challenge hikes are back! As part of the OutWiGo statewide initiative to get outside with healthy activities\, we’re taking to the trails\, and not going to stop until we do them all! Join the park naturalist on this weekly hike. We’ll log hours and miles for 13 weeks. When we are done\, we’ll have hiked every trail in Newport State Park\, enjoying all it has to offer. We’ll start with the shortest trail loop (1.2 mi.) and end with the longest trail loop (7 mi.). On the last day\, we’ll tally our miles and enjoy a potluck picnic together. All are welcome and encouraged to hike at your own pace. This first hike will be Fern Trail\, an easy 1.2 mile hike.
