Successful Winter Seed Sowing
January 18 @ 10:00 am - 11:00 pm
Winter sowing is a fun and exciting technique for growing hardy and beautiful plants, flowers, herbs and vegetables. And you can start as early as January! You can get your garden started without the fuss of seed starting kits, heat lamps, and yards of counter space. While it may not be pretty, dozens of milk jugs sitting out in your yard all winter and early spring, the reward is worth the eyesore when you have thousands of healthy vegetative stage plants that are already hardened off by springtime when everybody else is still nursing their seedlings.
This class will be taught by Jennifer Davis, a 17-year Door County resident who has been happily practicing winter sowing techniques since 2010.
