About 75% of all flowering plant species need animal pollinators for reproduction. As a result\, pollinators contribute to ecosystem health and a sustainable food supply. Celebrate them this #pollinatorweek! \nThursday\, June 22nd – Planting For and Protecting Pollinators – 10 – 11:30 am. \nIt’s a time to celebrate pollinators and spread the word about what we can do to protect them. Learn about the pollinator gardens at Newport\, along with ideas for habitat at your own house. Construct an insect hotel to take home with you. Meet at the Nature Center. Ordering online is safe\, easy and will greatly help LGHS plan for this onsite event in the barn. Each time slot is limited to 40 persons.  This all inclusive Whitefish fish boil dinner is still priced at $25 per adult. Additional choices include Broasted Chicken dinner\, junior dinner (fish and chicken) for $15 and a boxed ham sandwich (with banana\, chocolate chip cookie\, and juice box) for $10. All dinners include baby red potatoes\, onions\, coleslaw\, Swedish Limpa rye bread\, water\, lemonade\, coffee and cherry pie dessert.
