Sturgeon Bay, Wis. (October 16, 2023) – Calling all artists! Destination Sturgeon Bay is looking for artists to participate in the 24th Annual Street Art Project, a unique collaboration of art created to beautify the streets for Sturgeon Bay. Bass Around the Bay Street Art Project, presented with Nicolet National Bank, will go on display for the thousands of visitors and locals to enjoy in May of 2024.
By participating in this project, artists have the choice to embellish, adorn, and enhance a bass template provided by Destination Sturgeon Bay or create their own bass. The bass template and stand are created by Key Industrial Plastics and Hi-Tech Fabrication. The art will be auctioned off using the online auction platform Handbid. The online auction will launch for bidders to participate starting in June of 2024. All bass will be sponsored by local businesses and will be on display until Saturday, September 21, 2024 when the virtual art auction will close. Auction proceeds will benefit the artists and future street beautification projects.
The Bass Around the Bay Street Art Project provides artists the opportunity to showcase their artistic talent and creative capabilities to both the thousands of Door County community residents and tourists alike. Let your creative side shine and challenge yourself to create breathtaking street art.
