Autumn Fest
The “Hey Hey 5k” race kicks off an exciting weekend on September 28th & 29th. Saturday features a classic auto and motorcycle show, live music, arts and crafts, delicious food and beverages, and culminates in a spectacular fireworks display. Sunday offers a grand farmers market and a classic auto and motorcycle ride.
THE RIDGES SANCTUARY
Miles of rustic trails, bridges, and wildflowers. Take a naturalist-led tour or hike the paths on your own. There is a Family Discovery Tour where kids can explore nature through a series of activities. Tour the historic Baileys Harbor Range Lights —built in 1869 to guide ships into the harbor.
CANA ISLAND LIGHTHOUSE
Walk the causeway between the mainland and Cana Island to visit this majestic lighthouse. Climb its 97 step staircase for sweeping views of Lake Michigan and the county.
Farmers Market
Late spring through early fall, Baileys Harbor rocks one of the county’s top farmers markets. Enjoy fresh locally grown products, handmade crafts, live music and snacks. Sundays, 9am-1pm.
KANGAROO LAKE BEACH
This secret little spot is the perfect place to kayak, canoe, wind-surf, or lounge in warm shallow waters. Fisherman can fish right from the shore.
