Ephraim, Wis. (August 7, 2025) – It was a near perfect day in Ephraim on Saturday, August 2nd, when 88 golfers took to the mini golf greens in a battle to win The Red Jacket at the Red Putter Pro Tournament! After three rounds of golf, Danny Monchamp came out on top with scores of 34, 35, and 35, for a three-round total score of 104, taking home the jacket, trophy and $2000! Monchamp, from Minnesota, has played the tournament the past few years. This is his first trophy, but he has placed in the top ten twice.
Another tournament veteran, Jeremy Inabinet, earned 2nd place and was just a stroke behind Monchamp with a score of 105. Four time champion, Matthew Kraus, still went home with two trophies. His score of 106 earned him the 3rd place trophy and the Best Single game trophy after winning a playoff hole against Jeremy Inabinet and Max Brandrup, who each had a low round of 33.
This year’s tournament attracted a wide variety of players from professionals who play in tournaments year round to vacationers who have this achievement on their bucket list and locals who make sure they have this day off from work every year. To enter the tournament and join the Red Putter Pro Board, players had to qualify by scoring under par on the course. Players can now qualify for next year’s tournament, which will be held on Saturday, August 1st, 2026.
