Ephraim, Wis. (August 5, 2026) — After threats of rain, it was a beautiful day in North Ephraim as a near record turnout of 93 players took part in the 2026 Red Putter Pro Tournament! Former four time champion, Matthew Kraus came out on top to reclaim the title, taking home the $2,000 prize and adding to his Red Jacket collection. Matthew scored a 3 round total of 104, followed by Nathaniel Kraus, 106 and Tom Loftus, 108.
The first round of play saw many scores under 40 with 5 players all obtaining a low score of 35. After the second round, Nathaniel Kraus held the low score of 33, which was followed in the third round with a 33 by his brother Matthew. The brothers played a tiebreaker hole on #7, The Bear, to decide that Matthew Kraus would claim the prize for Best Single Game.
It was the first time taking home trophies for both Nathaniel Kraus and Tom Loftus. Now all four Kraus brothers, who all regularly play in the tournament, have at least one trophy each.
Players can now qualify for the next tournament and join the Red Putter Pro Board, by scoring under par on the course. The 25th annual Red Putter Pro Tournament will be held on August 7, 2027.
