Door County, Wis. (September 14, 2026) – Registration for the 2027 Door County Half Marathon and Nicolet Bay 5K is now open, with special early-bird pricing for one week only.
The race will return to Peninsula State Park on May 1, 2027, when runners can take advantage of one of the most unique half marathon courses in America. The run takes place on an entirely closed road course through one of the most beautiful and beloved parks in Wisconsin, taking runners along the shoreline, through the woods, and atop the bluffs of the Niagara Escarpment. The run is capped at 2,000 registrants in the half marathon and 800 in the 5K and organizers expect the race will fill to capacity for the first time in several years.
Runners get a great long-sleeve race shirt, finisher’s medal, post-race beverages and live music at the finish line. There are also free shuttles to and from the starting line from sponsor lodging establishments. But the biggest perk of registration is the course, where there are no curbs to jump, exhaust fumes to breathe in, and where the only noises come from nature and the footfalls of fellow runners.
Register for the 19th running of the Door County Half Marathon and Nicolet Bay 5k by Sept. 8 for the best price of the year at doorcountyhalfmarathon.com.
