More Than Two Dozen Writers with Ties to Door County Showcased at Write On, Door County
Write On, Door County will host the second annual Door County Author and Book Fair, Saturday, October 1, 10 am – 3 pm. The event is free and open to the public and is family friendly. The fair will take place outdoors under a large canopy tent. Authors and attendees will be protected in the event of inclement weather.
Write On, Door County will host the second annual Door County Author and Book Fair, Saturday, October 1, 10 am – 3 pm. The event is free and open to the public and is family friendly. The fair will take place outdoors under a large canopy tent. Authors and attendees will be protected in the event of inclement weather.
Dozens of writers of children’s books, poetry, fiction, and nonfiction will be present. Also showcased at the fair are playwrights and creators of arts and photography books.
Among the writers slated to appear are children’s authors Sally Collins and Amy Phimister, novelists Val Clarizio and J.B. Sensenbrenner, nonfiction writers Erika Nelson and Bob Ojala, and poets Tom and Ethel Davis and Ann Heyse. Also represented will be the Door County Published Author Collective, the Door County Poetry Collective, the Door County Playwrights Collective, and The 8142 Review, the literary journal of The Peninsula Pulse Hal Prize.
Books will be available for sale by each author. Not all writers will be able to accept credit cards; attendees are encouraged to bring cash or checks. Authors will be signing books, as well as talking about their writing process and journeys to becoming published authors. Complete information can be found on www.writeondoorcounty.org.
