Egg Harbor, Wis. (June 21, 2022) – Summer is under way with the second show at Woodwalk Gallery on Sunday, June 26 from 1-4pm.
“This year we are doing things a little differently, partly to maintain some consistency in our schedule.,” says Jillaine Seefeldt, co-owner of the Gallery. “We are having more of an open house type reception with one of the artists chatting and doing some demonstrating of sorts along with complimentary wine and beer and a selection of lite hors d’oeuvres. This show leaves the word “environment” open to interpretation, meaning if could be nature, a building, a place and more.”
Christy Kelly-Bentgen, a Door County part-timer and cog in the art scene here, brings some primitive locations into play with Cryptic, a cave drawing inspired piece and Wild Woods, harkening back to forests without people.
Also featured is Laura Lein-Svencner, who often teaches in the county, and Anke Korioth, a German and Chicago native. This show lets your imagination wander through a variety of environments viewed through abstract style. Stop in and enjoy this show along with all of what this season holds at Woodwalk Gallery.
In addition to a full season of fabulous fine art, the Gallery is in its 4th year of unique farm-to-table dining experiences which reflect world cuisines using local meats and produce. Woodwalk partners with Ohana Hospitality for a robust and interesting dining experience.
You can also find music at Woodwalk this year with Katie Dahl, Harmonious Wail, Eric Lewis with the Griffon Quartet and Midsummer’s Music. Returning this year is the ever-popular Buckets of Rain.
