Egg Harbor, Wis. (May 10, 2022) –The Alpine Resort recently installed a spacious 4,000 square-foot sailcloth tent to be utilized for weddings and special events for the 2022 season. The outdoor tent can accommodate up to 225 seated guests or 275 guests for a cocktail reception overlooking the waterfront. The fully independently powered event tent provides string lighting on dimmers, shade, clear sides for added comfort if needed, and wood flooring. Tables, chairs, linens, and dishes are also provided for weddings and special events. Fully renovated indoor bathrooms and a newly created outdoor bathroom facility will be available for use. On-site accommodations are available for booking in the newly renovated one, two and three bedroom cottages for event guests. Group rates and wedding blocks are available for multiple cottages.
As the tent is not a permanent structure, it will be utilized intermittently throughout the summer as an event tent. Plans are in place to remove the tent with potential plans to add a full-scale ice skating rink for the winter season. The Alpine will be installing a second ice skating rink by the clubhouse and offer snowshoeing and cross-country skiing for a complete winter experience.
The newly renovated clubhouse will now be open year-round with a full bar and dining – serving breakfast, lunch and dinner – and five newly renovated rooms upstairs in the clubhouse will remain open as well in the winter. Major improvements have been made to the golf course and a fleet of new equipment was purchased to keep the greens looking pristine. The Alpine also purchased 50 new club cars with electric lithium batteries at the clubhouse for this year’s season. Other improvements include the installation of fiber optic cable for high-speed internet providing Wi-Fi throughout the resort as well as restoring the original pier, and rebuilding the existing outdoor deck.
