Announcing the Inaugural CAMPBike Weekend 2026

April 22, 2026 by Laurel Ciohon

Sister Bay, Wis. (April 22, 2026) – Get ready to hit the trails! CAMP Door County is thrilled to announce a unique, immersive weekend getaway specifically designed for the dedicated cycling enthusiast who loves a true camping experience. This inaugural event, the CAMPBike Weekend, challenges participants to fully embrace the spirit of adventure by making their campsite accessible only by bike.

Scheduled for Friday, June 26 to Sunday, June 28, this celebration of cycling and nature requires participants to ride their bike into the campground and stay exclusively in one of the 27 dedicated Primitive Walk-In Campsites. This commitment means no car access to your site—just you, your gear, and your bike in the tranquility of the woods.

Spaces for this unique cycling celebration are extremely limited, ensuring a small, dedicated community atmosphere. Cycling enthusiasts are strongly encouraged to book early to secure their spot for this unforgettable weekend.

The weekend itinerary is packed with activities designed to blend physical challenge with
relaxation and camaraderie:

Group Rides Saturday Guided rides catering to various skill levels on the area’s best
trails. Trailside Lunch Delivery Saturday A nourishing lunch delivered directly to riders on the trail.

Live Music with Brass Differential Saturday Night An evening featuring the high-energy sounds of Brass Differential under the stars.

Sunday Morning Yoga Sunday Morning A restorative yoga session perfect for stretching out tired cycling muscles.

Full Amenity Access Throughout Weekend Access to all campground amenities (e.g., restrooms, showers, water).

“We created the CAMPBike Weekend for those who truly love the integration of cycling and the outdoors,” says John McMahon, Operations Director and Event Organizer. “By removing car access, we are fostering a deeper connection to nature and celebrating the self-sufficiency that defines the cycling community. It’s a rugged, rewarding, and truly unique experience.”

Reservations are required and can be made immediately at www.camp-door.com or by calling
920-673-3116. Due to the limited number of sites, early booking is essential.
