Plum Bottom invites you to Painted Door County: Art Show 5, running August 10 – September 8 with an opening reception Saturday, August 10 from 1–4pm at our Plum Bottom Road location. Come see the newest work from five painters who capture the incredible changing vistas of Door County!
Meet Door County artists Mary White, Krista Carlsen and Gail Gilson-Pierce, who will be at our Plum Bottom Road location to discuss their inspiration, technique and more on Saturday, Aug. 1 from 1–4pm. See the newest work from these artists, as well as landscape painters Sarah Vanderkleed and Clarey Wamoff. Enjoy light treats and ‘Experience Art, Finely Crafted.’
Working in acrylic, White captures the feeling of the Door County landscape. From clear summer nights exploding with stars to breezy spring days filled with the smells of fresh wildflowers, White’s paintings encapsulate that “Door County feeling” on a canvas.
Carlsen works in oil and wax and captures the stunning lightscapes Door County offers. Carlsen walks the line between abstract and realistic interpretations of lake scenes and the interplay of light and land.
Gilson-Pierce uses vibrantly colored oils to capture Door County favorite landmarks such as Cave Point and Toft Point. These beautiful landscapes are joyful and capture Door County in uniquely colorful ways.
Also be sure to see the newest watercolors from Sara Vanderkleed and the acrylics of Wisconsin artist Clarey Wamoff. These artists all offer unique perspectives of the beautiful world around us.
