Plum Bottom Gallery invites you to Art Show 7: GLASS on Saturday, July 28th from 1:00-4:00PM, featuring work from our talented glass artists Sarka Evans, Laurel Grey, Josephine Geiger, Rose Klemen, and Kellie Hanson. Enjoy a glass of Von Steihl wine, meet mosaic artist Sarka Evans and see all of our glass artists latest collections. Come to Plum Bottom and see the multitude of ways glass has been incorporated into beautiful pieces of art for both inside and outside your home.
Sarka Evans’s latest collection of mosaics feature whimsical scenes from her imagination. Weather its a girl swinging from the star, or the view looking up at a towering tree- her pieces bring joy and spark the imagination. Come meet Sarka and be the first to see her latest creations!
Laurel Grey’s glass leaves are an amazing addition to any garden or indoor space. Made of tempered glass- each leaf is hand crafted and incorporated into stunning strands or unique tree sculptures. Add a touch of elegance to your garden or indoor space from Laurel Grey!
Ms. Geiger’s delightful leaded glass panels bring clouds, skies, trees and water to life with brilliant and dynamic colors. Her contemporary, geometric compositions are influenced by Frank Lloyd Wright and the beauty that surrounds her. New this year, Geiger has branched out into the world of fused glass. Her fused glass panels mimic a birch forest and are a perfect addition to any window.
Rose Klemen’s stunning decorative fused glass works have moved outside! In addition to her beautiful indoor glass pieces, Kleman’s has expanded her collection to include beautiful garden art. Add a pop of color to your garden that doesn’t need watered, weeded, or pruned!
Kellie Hanson, self taught Michigan mosaic artist, describes working her mosaics to be a delightful glass puzzle. Every piece of glass is placed one by one, creating beautiful scenes of the lake, flowers, rainbows, and dragonflies. Ms. Hanson’s playful colors and textures include glass, tiles, mirror, beads, old and new china, and found objects all coming together to create one of a kind works of art. Her popular, whimsical birds of Door County ornaments are a cheerful reminder of Door County’s wide range of feathered friends.
