Plum Bottom welcomes you to Art show 3: Fiber running June 22–July 4 with an opening reception Saturday, June 22 from 11am–4pm at their Plum Bottom Road location. Come see the newest work in fiber from their incredible artists!
Michelle Cohn will be in the gallery from 11-2pm Saturday, June 22 and her inspiration, technique and more. New work from Gail Gilson-Pierce, as well as Jean Corby will also be featured. Enjoy a glass of wine or a cup of coffee and be the first to see all the newest Plum Bottom has to offer.
Michelle Cohn refers to her art as thread painting. She starts with a expanse of fabric and treats her sewing machine like a paint brush to create one of a kind scenes. A Door County artist, she draws inspiration from just out her door! She creates dreamy sunsets and waterscapes that will transport you to a summer day lounging in the county.
Jean Corby’s latest collection of embroideries all draw inspiration from Door County Wildflowers. Continuing her girls collection, the newest feature Lady Slippers, Black-eyed Susan, and Jack in the Pulpits. These embroideries are stunning in their detail and are sure to draw everyones eye!
Gail Gilson-Pierce takes her incredible painting skills and blend it with her love of quilting to create these one of a kind Lady Slipper pieces. Each piece is painted and then details are stitched in. These vibrant tributes to these wild, Wisconsin orchids are a wonderful addition to any home. Remember spring all year with these stunning pieces!
