Sturgeon Bay, Wis. (September 10, 2024) – The Miller Art Museum, located in downtown Sturgeon Bay, has announced that its Artist Open Studio will return on Wednesday, Sept. 18, 2024. The program is open to artists of all skill levels and abilities and takes place at M3, the Miller Art Museum’s satellite education space, located at 142 S. 3rd Avenue in downtown Sturgeon Bay.

Open Artist Studio is a weekly studio session providing artists a place to come to create and find community. It is held weekly on Wednesdays from 9:30 am – 3 pm. Artists are asked to bring their current work/project and needed supplies. Artists can attend for the full day or drop in as long as they wish. To participate, there is a $10 drop-in fee per session or artists can pay monthly for $30; there is a reduced fee for museum members––please inquire with museum staff to learn more about museum membership.

ABOUT THE MILLER MUSEUM
Founded in 1975 through the generosity of Gerhard and Ruth Miller, the Miller Art Museum enriches the cultural fabric of Door County by connecting artists and community through the creation of opportunities to explore, appreciate, and advance the visual arts. It is the Peninsula’s only fine art museum, housing a dynamic permanent collection of 20th c. Wisconsin and regional art. The Museum’s main galleries feature regularly changing exhibitions, embracing a wide range of subjects and media, both historic and contemporary; the second floor Gerhard CF Miller wing surveys the extraordinary life and work of founder Gerhard CF Miller. The museum also offers diverse supplemental programming and events through its satellite education facility known as M3, located at 142 S. 3rd Avenue in downtown Sturgeon Bay.

The museum is located at 107 S. 4th Avenue, Sturgeon Bay, WI, 54235 inside the Door County Library in downtown Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin. For information call 920.746.0707 or visit the museum on Instagram at @MillerArtMuseum or Facebook at Miller Art Museum.
