Feather Rousing is a “hybridiary” of historical fiction and personal memoir. Tragic, funny, and surreal, it nests in the spaces between caretaking and grief, secret and spectacle, recollection and imagination. The title piece of the collection was written in response to music by Charles-Valentin Allkan for a collaboration between Write On and Midsummer’s Music during their 2018 season.
Rebecca Meacham is the author of the short story collection, Let’s Do, winner of the Katherine Anne Porter Prize in Fiction. Her collection of flash fiction, Morbid Curiosities, won the New Delta Review chapbook prize. She is a professor of English at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, where she directs the Teaching Press and the BFA in Writing and Applied Arts program.
The Griffon String Quartet is a full-time professional string quartet actively embedded in the community, working with all ages to enhance lives through the power and beauty of music.
