Duncan Tonatiuh is an award-winning author-illustrator. His is both Mexican and American and grew up in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, and graduated from Parsons School of Design and Eugene Lang College in New York City. His aim is to create images and stories that honor the past but that are relevant to people, especially children, nowadays.

Due to the generosity of many donors, Write On, Door County has multiple scholarships available for the conference. Specific scholarships are designated for students of color and students from the LGBTQ+ community. To inquire about scholarship availability, please contact Artistic Director Jerod Santek by sending an email to jerod@writeondoorcounty.org.
