Fish Creek, Wis. (November 6, 2026) – On November 18 at 7 p.m., Black Violin will return to the Door County Auditorium (DCA) Main Stage. They will also perform a matinee for Door County students.
For nearly two decades, the two-time Grammy-nominated duo Black Violin has been merging string arrangements with modern beats and building bridges in communities along the way. Members Kev Marcus and Wil Baptiste first met in high school orchestra class. Now they sell out headline performances at the most prestigious venues in the U.S., prompting NPR to declare that “their music will keep classical music alive for the next generation.” Their latest album Full Circle bursts with indelible melodies, boom-bap rhythms, rich orchestration, and lyrics full of hope and persistence, revealing the range and depth of a project the members call “more a movement than a brand.”
Around the Town Chicago called Black Violin “playful and powerful in equal measure.”
Black Violin’s appearance is made possible with funding from major sponsors The DöRR Hotel and Main Street Market; supporting sponsors The Cramer Family Fund and Wisconsin Public Radio; and Passport Program partners The Alexander Family, Blacksmith Inn, Door County Eye Associates, Jessica and Jimmy Grasse, kindgoods, The Liberty Lodge at Sister Bay, Peninsula Pulse, Red Putter Mini-Golf, Sweetie Pies, Tom and Barbara Thurman, The White Gull Inn, and Wild Tomato.
