Sturgeon Bay, Wis. (February 22, 2024) – The Climate Change Coalition of Door County has named Jess Reinke of Sturgeon Bay as its new communications manager. Working with Executive Director Jeff Lutsey and the CCCDC Advisory Board, she will raise awareness, engage the community, and advocate for climate action.
Reinke is an experienced marketing professional. She worked for six years as event director and property manager for Egg Harbor’s Donald and Carol Kress Pavilion, where she played a pivotal role in launching and managing the Pavilion, fostering over 700 community events; she also helped the Village of Egg Harbor launch its Green Tier Legacy Community effort. She continues to work closely with the village and led the development of its compost initiative, which in turn has become a county-wide project.
During the past year she was digital project manager and producer at Good and Gold Marketing, Portland, Oregon, where she managed internal teams to develop and implement integrated digital marketing projects. Other marketing experience includes work with SagaCity Media in Portland, the Door County Maritime Museum, and Wild Restaurants Concepts LLC.
Reinke is deeply committed to climate education and action. “Climate change isn’t just a global issue; it’s a something that directly affects our beautiful lake and the Door County peninsula,” she says. “Our actions today determine whether tomorrow’s Door County is a story of resilience or loss, reminding us that all small actions add up and become big ones. One of the most important things is to engage and enlighten our community, and I’m excited to do that through my work at the Climate Change Coalition.”
Reinke is a graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point. She can be contacted at jess@lnrp.org or 715-252-3879.
