Egg Harbor, Wis. (November 8, 2024) – Birch Creek Music Performance Center warmly invites the public to experience the spirit of the holidays with two festive concerts in Juniper Hall on Saturday, December 7. Christmas at Birch Creek will offer a joyous mix of beloved holiday music, family-friendly fun, and community spirit in a beautifully decorated concert setting.
The festivities begin with a Matinee Concert at 2:30 PM, where children ages 11 and under receive free admission. This afternoon concert features Birch Creek’s Symphony and Percussion, Steel Pan & World Music session faculty musicians, who will fill the hall with the powerful sounds of brass and percussion. Joining them will be guest vocalist Cynthia Stiehl, leading sing-alongs of cherished carols, accompanied by Sandy Bader on piano. The Door County Community Handbell Choir will also make a special appearance, adding the captivating sounds of handbells to the performance.
The Evening Concert at 7:00 PM will offer the same musical experience, allowing audiences to enjoy the twinkling lights and festive decorations in Juniper Hall as they listen to holiday classics such as Parade of the Wooden Soldiers, Do You Hear What I Hear?, and O Come, All Ye Faithful. Both concerts will feature an ensemble of talented musicians, including Birch Creek faculty members Dan Moore (Percussion, Steel Pan & World Music Program Director), Matt Lee (trumpet), Charles Schuchat (tuba), Kevin Wood (trumpet), and Dan O’Connell (horn), along with guest musician Ignacio del Rey Tomas Biosca (trombone). Each concert will include sing-alongs and a performance by the Door County Community Handbell Choir, creating an inviting and joyful atmosphere for all.
These Christmas at Birch Creek concerts are traditional holiday events that often sell out, so attendees are encouraged to reserve their tickets early. The concerts are generously supported by Birch Creek’s Board of Trustees, Charlotte Lukes, Ben & Jane Stephen, Roger and Lynn Van Vreede, Door County Medical Center, Main Street Market, and Tannenbaum Holiday Shop.
