Ephraim, Wis. (June 28, 2021) – Artzy Studio in North Ephraim will be celebrating the 4th of July with ceramic demonstrations in their garden from 1–3pm on July 2–4, 2021. Owner and artist, Cynthia L. Koshalek, will be demonstrating her new techniques and showing how to paint using underglazes.
Koshalek has created a new ceramic series for this July celebration and Artzy Studio’s 7th season. In keeping with the spirit of Door County, the new series is entitled D.C. Cherry. The new design is to honor the local cherry trees and orchards in the area.
Koshalek remarked, “I wanted to create something both traditional and yet still have a bit of a modern style. The dot pattern was inspired by the traditional cherry patterns created in the 1950’s. I wanted the cherry icon itself to be more simple and modern. My new designs will be great additions on their own, but will also work well with older historical pieces.”
Koshalek’s ceramics and other art work can be found at Artzy Studio, 10329 Hwy 42 in Ephraim. Follow on Facebook.com/Artzy and Instagram @clkartist.
