After working at The Summer Kitchen for 10 years, in 2008 Nino Jauregui and his brother Armando jumped on the opportunity to buy the popular Ephraim restaurant. So when the Jauregui family decided to purchase Fish Creek Grill in 2013, they were already seasoned restaurant owners. Since then, they’ve been preparing delicious eats that continue to bring locals and tourists back each year. Citrus French Toast, Cherry Pancakes, Huevos Rancheros, Whitefish Tacos, and the Sriracha Bourbon Wrap are just some local favorites.
While Summer Kitchen is more of a classic café, Fish Creek Grill offers a more traditional dining experience with homemade American and Mexican favorites for breakfast, lunch and dinner. Want to try one of the best Door County Cherry Margaritas in the area? Start your vacation right, sit back on the sunny patio – Nino will typically welcome you himself – and order a top shelf, “skinny,” or even organic, along with a basket of homemade chips and salsa. Margaritas not your thing? There’s always the Cherry Sangria, by means of which the delicious wine and cherry juice concoction will have you relaxing in no time.–Laurel Ciohon
