Sister Bay, Wis. (November 19, 2021) – Christkindlmarkt Door County — Sister Bay’s new outdoor Christmas market — is coming soon to Corner of the Past Museum at the corner of Hwy 57 and Fieldcrest Rd.
To help the event run smoothly, the Sister Bay Historical Society is in need of additional volunteers — a variety of jobs, days, and shifts are still available.
Christkindlmarkt takes place on three weekends: Nov. 26-28, Dec. 3-5, and Dec. 10-12 — the event is a pre-holiday shopping opportunity for visitors, and will showcase vendors selling handcrafted, made-in-Door County goods, with food booths selling northern European fare, and a drinks booth offering delicious Swedish Glögg, the famous hot Christmas drink.
POSITIONS:
Parking Attendants – direct visitors on where to park (down the road at two locations) and wait for a trolley ride back to the event.
Drinks Booth – take orders, collect payment, pour drinks (Swedish Glögg, Hot Apple Cider, Coffee), restock booth. You don’t have to have a bartender’s license, but we do need at least one licensed bartender in this booth at all times.
Historical Society Retail Booth – collect payment, package orders, restock and manage booth.
Bakery (Anderson House) – sell baked goods, answer guests’ questions about historical, updated Anderson House and the rest of the museum grounds.
Gofers (Building & Grounds) – circulate property to troubleshoot problems, help vendors with issues, run errands, answer visitor questions, fill-in as needed at other positions.
Trash Collection – empty full garbage bags from trash cans throughout property, place in dumpsters, pick up items dropped on grounds.

Please Note: Even if you only have a few hours or are here for just one weekend, we’d love to have you volunteer at Christkindlmarkt Door County!
