Visit the Door County Maritime Museum in Sturgeon Bay during the 29th annual Door County Classic & Wooden Boat Festival, Saturday and Sunday August 10-11. The Festival features a remarkable assortment of historic and beautiful vessels proudly displayed by their owners or builders. Registered boaters showcase their boats for the weekend and compete for awards and ribbons. Boats will be displayed throughout the Maritime Museum grounds, along the waterfront and on the lawn.
The Festival also includes the popular Sikaflex Boat Building Challenge. Watch as two-person teams work feverishly with limited materials on Saturday to craft a one-of-a-kind boat that will float during the “sea trials” on Sunday…hopefully.
Festival hours are 10am-6pm Saturday and 10am-4pm Sunday. With unique vendors, Coast Guard demonstrations, plein air artists, beautiful boats and great food, the Classic & Wooden Boat Festival is a great time on Sturgeon Bay’s west waterfront.
