Ephraim, Wis. (December 22, 2024) – Following the recent success of their sold-out “Songs that Sleigh” performance at the Door Community Auditorium, Colin & Friends is now poised to bid farewell to 2024 and usher in new beginnings with a celebratory concert, aptly titled ‘Ringing in the New Year!’
Three performances over the course of two days will be held at the Ephraim Moravian Church, 9970 Moravia Street. On New Years Eve, Tuesday, December 31, there will be two performances, at 1:00pm & 3:30pm. On New Years Day, Wednesday, January 1 there will be one performance at 2:00pm.
The concerts will feature a stellar ensemble of performers, including this year’s Birch Creek Concerto soloist, 18-yr-old flutist Asha Sundaram, with oboist Stuart Sutter, storyteller Dan Klarer, soprano Cyndy Stiehl, and of course, Colin Welford, on organ and piano.
These concerts are the perfect opportunity to gather with old friends and to make new ones, as Colin & Friends sets a lively tone for the coming year. The concerts are free admission, and it is advisable to arrive early, as seats may fill up quickly.
Colin Welford, Founder and Artistic Director, recently expressed his gratitude to the community, saying, “As I reflect on our first official year as a non-profit musical organization, I want to extend my heartfelt appreciation to all our friends in the audience. The unwavering support of the Door County community is what enables us to keep on performing great music – in a way that is free and accessible to all. Thank you for being a part of this meaningful journey with us.”
Colin & Friends’ 2025 concert series is packed with the promise of yet more exhilarating music, constant variety and surprise, and a strong sense of community spirit. For more information about Colin & Friends and their year-round free concerts, visit colinandfriendsconcerts.org.
