On Friday, September 6, at 7 p.m., Door Community Auditorium and SiriusXM will present comedian Tom Papa, best known for his work on the celebrated radio show “Live From Here,” in a performance at DCA in Fish Creek. Papa’s performance will be part of DCA’s fall series Blues, Roots, and American Stories.

With more than 20 years of stand-up comedy under his belt, Tom Papa is one of the top comedic voices in the country. Recently named as head writer and regular performer on National Public Radio’s “Live From Here,” Papa is featured on the show with his own regular segment, “Out In America With Tom Papa,” heard by 2.6 million fans weekly. Papa’s remarkable ability to create material that is both specific and universal has earned him smash-hit appearances on “The Tonight Show,” “The Late Show,” and the like, as well as film appearances in “The Informant” and “Analyze That.”

The Boston Globe calls Tom Papa “really funny! An everyman with an edge.”

Tom Papa’s third hour-long stand-up special, “Human Mule,” premiered on Amazon and Hulu on March 9. He is also host of the hit podcast and SiriusXM show “Come to Papa,” a weekly, hour-long show featuring Tom exploring the funny side of life, occasionally with guests like Mel Brooks, Ray Romano, Carl Reiner, and Jerry Seinfeld.

Tom Papa’s performance is made possible with support from major sponsors The Fireside Restaurant and Sweetie Pies, as well as supporting sponsor Wisconsin Public Radio. Tom Papa will perform at DCA at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, September 6. Tickets for the concert range from $20 to $45. Advance reservations are recommended and can be made through the DCA box office, located at 3926 Highway 42 in Fish Creek. The box office is open Monday-Friday, 12:00-5:00 p.m. Tickets can be purchased in person, on the phone at (920) 868-2728, or online at www.dcauditorium.org.
