Fish Creek, Wis. (December 27, 2024) – Door Community Auditorium (DCA) is pleased to announce its exciting 2025 winter season, which includes three vintage music DJ sets on Saturday mornings, three Coffeehouse Concerts in DCA’s cozy lobby, and three stellar shows on DCA’s state-of-the-art Main Stage.
Passport Program Main Stage Shows On January 26, the DCA stage will be transformed into a circus when the Guinean musical and acrobatic troupe Cirque Kalabanté comes to town. On February 28, high-energy, Grammy-winning duo 123 Andrés will bring their catchy, family-friendly tunes to DCA. And on April 4, 23 Skidoo & The Secret Agency will present its part-hip-hop, part-science-fiction, part-purple-tuxedo family funk show at DCA.
Ticket prices for Main Stage events vary; advance tickets are recommended. Cirque Kalabanté is made possible by supporting sponsors Cordon Family Foundation and Main Street Market; 23 Skidoo is made possible by supporting sponsor Cramer Family Fund. All Main Stage shows are part of the Passport Program, which is presented in partnership with Friends of Gibraltar and sponsored by presenting sponsor Al Johnson’s Swedish Restaurant & Butik; major sponsors The Dorr, Main Street Market, Door County Pulse, Matt and Karla Sagorac, Wild Tomato, Wisconsin Public Radio, and partners Willow & Chris Alexander, Grasse’s Grill, The Red Putter, Sister Bay Suds, and Wood Rabbit Acupuncture.
Coffeehouse Concerts DCA will present three Coffeehouse Concerts in their cozy Fireside Lobby: the inventive, instrumental rock guitar duo Guitarola on January 11; acclaimed Door County original musician Zephyr Ciesar on February 8; and old-time radio troupe Bayside Readers Theater on February 22.
All Coffeehouse Concerts take place at 7:00 p.m. in the DCA Fireside lobby. Tickets are $17.50 each and advance reservations are strongly suggested. Coffee and bakery will be available for purchase.
Door County Talks (& Listens) For years, DCA has offered the “Door County Talks” series on winter Saturday mornings in the lobby. This year, they offer a unique “spin” on the series, as DJ David Watkins (known for his collections of blues, jazz, R&B, country, old-time, rock, exotica, Hawaiian, international, and rare Christmas music) presents thoughtfully curated sets from real records (78s, 45s, and LPs) on modern equipment. Bringing an analog feel to a digital world, Watkins will explore “Roots of Rock and Roll” on January 11, “Early Country Music Heroes” on February 8, and “Rock Pioneers” on February 22.
All three “Talks (& Listens)” sessions begin at 10:00 a.m. They are free to the public; freewill donations are encouraged. Coffee and bakery will be available for purchase.
