On Tuesday, July 2, Door Community Auditorium (DCA) will present an evening with guitar phenom Molly Tuttle.
Grammy Award–winning singer, songwriter, and instrumentalist Molly Tuttle is a virtuosic guitarist with a gift for insightful songwriting. Tuttle spins spellbinding stories that span time and place: wildly colorful fables populated by gold miners and fortune tellers, true-to-life tales of love and loss, and a reimagining of Alice in Wonderland set in the backwoods of Kentucky, to name a few.
The Guardian calls Tuttle’s work “galloping bluegrass as fun as a campfire jam.” NPR Music calls Tuttle “a female flat picker extraordinaire with agility, speed, and elegance who distinctively brings American roots music into the spotlight,” adding that the album “marries the improvisatory solos of traditional bluegrass with singer-songwriter sophistication.
Molly Tuttle’s performance is made possible with support from major sponsor Peninsula Pulse and supporting sponsors Carrie and Taylor Goettelman.
The show begins at 8 p.m. on Tuesday, July 2. Tickets range from $39-59. Advance tickets are recommended and can be made through the DCA box office, located at 3926 Highway 42 in Fish Creek. The box office is open Monday-Friday, 12-5 p.m. Tickets can be purchased in person, on the phone at (920) 868-2728, or online at www.dcauditorium.org.
