Fish Creek, Wis. (July 11, 2022) – On Friday, July 22, at 8 p.m., popular Minnesota band Cloud Cult will perform on the Door Community Auditorium (DCA) Main Stage.
Hailed by Rolling Stone as one of the Top Ten Green Bands, Minnesota-based Cloud Cult has a rich, eleven-album history of bucking the mainstream music industry. The New York Times called the band’s philosophical lyrics and alternative-orchestral-folk-rock sound “an invocation of the life force.”
Pitchfork has called Cloud Cult’s work “insane genius . . . records this casually monumental are rare indeed.”
Founded by Craig Minowa as a solo studio project after the unexpected loss of his son, Cloud Cult has since grown into an ever-shifting, multimedia band featuring an evolving lineup of stellar musicians. Often incorporating live painting into their concerts, Cloud Cult are pioneers of multimedia artistry whose work is bound together by their continual celebration of life, love, and catharsis through music.
Cloud Cult consists of violinist Shannon Frid-Rubin; drummer Jeremy Harvey; singer/songwriter guitarist Craig Minowa; Shawn Neary on bass, banjo, and trombone; Sarah Perbix on keyboard, French horn, and trumpet; and Daniel Zamzow on cello and mandola. Connie Minowa and Scott West do live painting onstage during performances.
Cloud Cult’s performance is made possible with support from major sponsors Door County Pulse and WPR, as well as supporting sponsor The Red Putter.
