Fish Creek, Wis. (August 4, 2023) – On Sunday, August 13, at 3 p.m., Door Community Auditorium (DCA) will present “kindie rock” artist Laurie Berkner.
Best-selling, award-winning children’s musician Laurie Berkner has been a longtime fixture on TV’s Nick Jr., Sprout, and NBCUniversal Kids channels, and her original songs, albums (fourteen so far), DVDs, music videos, and books leave no doubt: Laurie Berkner is a singular leader of the children’s music world.
Newsweek says Berkner creates “groovy, folksy tunes that appeal to the whole family.”
Coined “the queen of kids’ music” by People magazine, Berkner is the inspiration and the power behind a movement known as “kindie rock”—kids’ music that is smart rather than saccharine—making Laurie Berkner’s music as popular with kids as it is with the grown-ups who love them.
