Fish Creek, Wis. (June 3, 2022) – On Sunday, June 12 at 3 p.m., Door Community Auditorium (DCA) will present its annual Play It Forward concert, which brings together some of Door County’s best-loved musicians to benefit a worthy cause. This year for the first time, the event will take place at Stabbur Beer Garden in Sister Bay (in the case of rain, the event will take place at DCA).
Performers will include Doc Heide, Paul Taylor, Julian Hagen, Thor Thoreson, Rian Hill, Terry Murphy, John Lewis, Cathy Grier, Solomon Lindenberg, Katie Dahl, Pete Thelen, and Jeanne Kuhns. This talented roster of Door County performers will present an eclectic variety of songs, many of them original and created here on the peninsula.
The event is free; all performers will donate their time. Freewill donations are encouraged and will go to benefit Kuhns’ granddaughter, Alice Mattson, a young girl living in Door County and suffering from leukemia. Attendees are encouraged to donate directly to the family’s GoFundMe (https://gofund.me/6741b818) or via check made out Jacob Mattson (specify Alice Mattson’s Care and Recovery in the memo and send to DCA).
Stabbur is located at 10698 N. Bay Shore Drive, Sister Bay. DCA is located located at 3926 Highway 42, Fish Creek. The DCA box office is open Monday-Friday, 12-5 p.m. More information is available at (920) 868-2728 or online at www.dcauditorium.org.
