Fish Creek, Wis. (January 29, 2024) – DCA will kick off its annual Door County Talks series Saturday, February 3, with a morning lecture by St. Norbert College professor Charles Jacobs. The talk is entitled “Wisconsin Elections and the Supreme Court.”
All Door County Talks begin at 10:00 a.m. Lectures are free to the public; freewill donations are encouraged. Coffee and bakery will be available for purchase. Each talk will include a short break, a post-talk question-and-answer session with the speaker, and a chance to meet and reconnect with Door County friends and neighbors.
Dr. Charles Jacobs is a professor of public law, judicial process, and American politics at St. Norbert College. He has written and presented on a wide range of topics and served as a consultant for the Strategic Research Institute at the college. Jacobs has received several awards since joining the St. Norbert College community in 2007, including the Founder’s Award, the Leonard Ledvina Award for Excellence in Teaching, and the Norbertine Leadership and Service Awards’ Educator of the Year.
His talk at DCA will be informed by his work with his colleague (and another favorite DCA lecturer) Dr. Wendy Scattergood.
