Fish Creek, Wis. (July 10, 2023) – We write with some very disappointing news. We have just learned from Sierra Ferrell’s management that she is canceling all of her shows scheduled between July 8 and 14. We are so disappointed – we’ve been looking forward to hearing her again since she opened for Squirrel Nut Zippers in 2019. We wish there was something – anything – we could do to change it. But alas… this cancellation is entirely outside of our control.
Here is the statement we received from Sierra and her team:
“Sadly, I will miss the next six dates on my touring schedule:
7/8- Winnipeg Folk Festival – Winnipeg, MB
7/9- Bayfield, WI
7/10- Fish Creek, WI
7/12- Kalamazoo, MI
7/13- Detroit, MI
7/14- 4848 Festival – Snowshoe, WV
We’ve been working really hard for you all, and have loved every minute of it, but I need to slow down for a bit. I know you’re disappointed, and so am I, but I also know that some rest will do me good. I’ll be back on stage soon and can’t wait to see you then.” – Sierra
Door Community Auditorium will be trying to reschedule the date with her management, but as of now, we aren’t able to predict when that might happen. Ticket holders are eligible for a full refund. Non-expiring account credits for future events or donation receipts are also options. We will be opening up the box office and begin processing refunds (or returning Sierra Ferrell related emails and calls) today, Saturday, July 8, 12-5 p.m. specially to assist Sierra Ferrell patrons.
