The Door County Humane Society is hosting cat and kitten adoptions at the Door County Co-op’s Pet Event. This adoption event will take place on Saturday, October 21st from 10am to 2pm at the Door County Co-op’s Country Store located at 317 Green Bay Road in Sturgeon Bay.
“We are excited to be a part of this fun event by featuring our adoptable cats and kittens and hopefully finding several of them new homes,” explained DCHS Volunteer and Adoption Coordinator Jessica Auz. “If you’ve been considering adding a new furry family member, now is the perfect time. All adoptable DCHS cats are spayed or neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on age-appropriate vaccinations,” stated Auz.
To take advantage of this amazing opportunity you must be approved to adopt an animal from DCHS. To become approved, fill out an application form which will only take a few minutes to complete. This can be done ahead of the event or on the day of the event.
Adopters hoping to bring a new cat or kitten home that day should come to the event with a valid photo ID and proof of address, a copy of their rental pet policy or permission from their landlord (if renting), and a vet reference (if other pets reside at home).
