Door County, Wis. (July 27, 2026) – The Destination Door County (DDC) Board of Directors has announced the selection of Jon Jarosh as the organization’s next President and Chief Executive Officer following a national executive search.
Jarosh has served as Interim President & CEO since February 2026 while continuing in his role as Chief Communications Officer. The selection follows an extensive search process conducted by Kittleman & Associates that attracted candidates from across the country. After evaluating a highly qualified field of applicants, the Board unanimously selected Jarosh to lead the organization into its next chapter.
“We’re thrilled to welcome Jon as the next President and CEO of Destination Door County,” said Jeff Lutsey, Chair of the DDC Board of Directors. “Throughout the search, we were looking for someone with exceptional leadership, collaborative spirit, and a deep passion for our community—and we found all of those qualities in Jon. He has embodied the direction and transformation of DDC, bringing together outstanding destination marketing with thoughtful environmental stewardship and strong community partnership. We are excited, and we are confident Jon will build on the strong foundation in place while helping shape an even brighter future for our residents, visitors, local businesses, and our greater community.
As President & CEO, Jarosh will provide strategic leadership for the organization, working closely with the Board of Directors, staff, municipalities, tourism partners, local businesses, nonprofit organizations, and community stakeholders to advance Destination Door County’s mission of cultivating travel that enhances community well-being and connection.
“I am incredibly honored by the Board’s confidence and grateful for the opportunity to continue serving Destination Door County, and our community, in this role,” said Jarosh. “Over the past 29 years, I have had the privilege of working alongside dedicated staff, engaged Board members, community leaders, businesses, and residents who all share a deep commitment to Door County. I look forward to building on that strong foundation as we continue strengthening our partnerships, supporting our local communities, and ensuring tourism enhances the quality of life for everyone who calls Door County home.”
Jarosh earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse and recently completed the Certified Destination Management Executive (CDME) program through Destinations International, the tourism industry’s highest individual educational achievement. He resides with his wife Natalie, a Sister Bay native, and their two children, Madi and Camden, in the Jacksonport area where his family has ties of more than 40 years.
