Door County, Wis. (October 30, 2025) – Destination Door County is excited to announce the launch of the Door County Christmas movie trail pass, a free, mobile-based experience that invites visitors to explore 16 locations featured in the new holiday movie A Cherry Pie Christmas (also released under the title A Wisconsin Christmas Pie).
The heartwarming holiday rom-com, starring Katie Leclerc (Switched at Birth, A Very Vermont Christmas) and Ryan Carnes (General Hospital, Desperate Housewives), was filmed entirely on location in Door County. The movie premiered earlier this month and is currently available on the Great American Family network and their streaming platforms. Beginning November 15, it will roll out across a range of free and on-demand platforms including TubiTV, RokuTV, Pluto TV, Vizio, XumoTV and other holiday-themed free ad-supported streaming television (FAST) channels such as Amazon’s Always Christmas channel.
From coffee and cheese shops to holiday events and inns, the self-guided Door County Christmas movie trail pass gives fans a behind-the-scenes look at several locations featured in the film. As participants check-in at each stop using the pass on their mobile phone, they’ll earn points towards prizes including an exclusive movie-themed Door County coffee mug (10 stops), or the mug plus a new limited-edition Door County Coffee flavor inspired by the movie (14 stops). All users who redeem their points for a prize by December 31 will also be automatically entered to win one of five movie posters autographed by the film’s stars.
The pass is free and requires no app to download, just sign up and start exploring from your mobile browser. It will be available November 1–December 31 at DoorCounty.com/movie.
Locations featured on the Door County Christmas movie trail include Door County Coffee; Lautenbach’s Market, Winery & Cider Co; Hillside Waterfront Hotel; Christkindlmarkt Door County; Scaturo’s Baking Co; Henriksen’s Fish House; Renard’s Artisan Cheese; Eagle Tower in Peninsula State Park; Novel Bay Booksellers; Anderson Dock; the Tug John Purves; Tannenbaum Holiday Shop; Waterfront Mary’s; White Gull Inn; Door County Trolley Station; and St. Nick’s Tree Farm.
