Sturgeon Bay, Wis. (October 9, 2025) — Do Good Door County is pleased to announce its upcoming HomeFit event in October in Sturgeon Bay, part of the organization’s ongoing effort to empower residents with tools and knowledge to live more comfortably and safely in their own homes.
What is HomeFit?
HomeFit is a series of free, expert‐led sessions offered across Door County between May and October. Each session brings together professionals in aging, home safety, and assistive technology to share straightforward improvements, best practices, and adaptive solutions to help older adults and those with mobility challenges live independently and with dignity.

Why Attend?
Many small adaptations — from better lighting and grab bars to simple lever handles or visual cues — can substantially reduce fall risk, increase comfort, and prolong independence.
