The Door County Cooperative Country Store and True Value Store will be hosting three dog training seminars. These seminars will be presented by Hope Blueberry from Hopeful Paws Dog Training and are free to the public. Friendly pets are also welcomed to bring their owners.
- Are you fluent in Dog? How to get ‘Buster’ to listen. Saturday, January 27 – 10:00 am
Improve communication with your dog by better understanding their body language and how you can use yours to talk to them. Learn the subtle movements that can deepen a loving relationship.
- Leash Manners: Don’t get dragged around! Saturday, February 24 – 10:00 am
Learning to walk nicely on a lead does NOT come naturally. Train your dog to calmly focus on you, instead of other dogs/strangers/distractions.
- Trusting Your Dog off Leash. Saturday, March 24th – 10:00 am
Make it inviting, simple and get a consistent response from your dog by mastering the “Here/Come” command.
